William Fischer, Vice President for Student Development
Bill Fischer was appointed Vice President for Student Development in March 2011. His responsibilities include providing leadership and oversight to the Division of Student Development. The Division strives to foster and maintain community living which in the Marianist tradition is deemed essential to the full development and education of the whole person.
Bill has over ten years experience in higher education and has a passion for law and policy issues and their impact on the work in student development. He has held adjunct faculty appointments at Northeastern and Suffolk University where he taught on the topic of law and higher education. Prior to his work in higher education, he was engaged in the practice of law for approximately 10 years. Bill is an active member in the Association of Student Conduct Administration (ASCA), having served as President from 2007-2008 and also holding other positions on the Association's Board of Directors for eight years.
