Student Development Diversity

Health and Wellness Promotion, one of three major subdivisions of the Division of Student Development, includes the departments of Campus Recreation, Community Wellness Services, the Counseling Center, and the Health Center.

Our goal is to teach and encourage self-responsibility as students move through the UD experience.  This end, which contributes to the Marianist value of educating the whole person, is achieved through the integration of direct service and programming opportunities for students.

Our collaborative, holistic approach focuses on both prevention and intervention which is influenced by the seven dimensions of wellness.  These departments help to create opportunities for students to learn how to make healthy, informed lifestyle choices and seek balance to transform their lives and their community.
