Lackner Award
This award, named after Brother Elmer Lackner, S.M.,
honors a member of the UD faculty or staff who, over a
long period of time, has made a significant contribution
to the Catholic and Marianist character of the University of Dayton.

Marianist Award
Award program and lecture that honors a Roman
Catholic whose work has made a major contribution to
the intellectual life. Reception to follow.

Recipient: Dr. Lamin Sanneh, a renowned scholar of
religion, especially in the areas of world Christianity
and the relationship between Christianity and Islam.
He is the D. Willis James Professor of World Christianity
at the Yale Divinity School, Professor of History and
Professor of International and Area Studies at Yale University.
Marianist Service Award.
The Marianist Service Award honors a UD employee who
actively supports both the Catholic and Marianist
character of UD. The award is presented at the
President's Recognition Award Dinner.
